77 Rue de Varenne Paris, Île-de-France 75007

The Musée Rodin or The Rodin Museum, Paris was opened in 1919. The museum was opened as a dedication to French sculptor, Augustus Rodin. The museum is located at Hotel Biron where he used the hotel as his workshop and the Villa des Brillants at Meudon, Hauts-de-Seine, Rodin’s old home outside of Paris. The collection at both sides includes 6,600 sculptures, 8,000 drawings, 8,000 old photographs, and 7,000 objets d’art. 700,000 visitors visit both museums annually. The garden around the museum at his old home is also decorated by sculptures by Rodin in its natural setting. Rodin donated all of his sculptures with other paintings he acquired to the French state with a condition that they turn the building to a museum as a dedication to his work
